KÁRITI EVO® Brush — Detangling and Afro-Textured Hair Care
Gentle detangling is the first step towards retaining length and preparing a beautiful hairstyle.
The KÁRITI EVO® brush supports detangling for afro-textured, curly and 4C hair. Used in sections with a product that provides slip, it helps separate strands, work through tangles gradually and distribute conditioning products.
Pair it with our curl-activating mist to prepare your hair for twists, wearing your afro loose or creating the preparation braids for the Crystal Lumen ritual.
Key Benefits
- Easier detangling: supports working through each section gradually.
- Conditioner distribution: helps distribute the mist through the lengths and ends.
- Styling preparation: makes organising sections before twists or braids easier.
- Gentle handling: starting at the ends avoids dragging tangles down from the roots.
- Supports length retention: detangling without pulling helps limit handling-related breakage.
- Complements the KÁRITI EVO® ritual: connects conditioning, detangling and styling preparation.
How do I use it?
- Divide the hair into manageable sections.
- Apply the curl-activating mist or a conditioner that provides slip.
- Use your fingers to separate larger tangles first.
- Hold the section above the area being detangled to reduce pulling at the roots.
- Brush from the ends and gradually work towards the roots.
- If you encounter resistance, stop, separate the tangle and continue without forcing the brush through.
Why should I start at the ends?
Because tangles are best worked through gradually. Starting at the roots can drag them towards the ends and increase tension on the hair.
Can I use it with the curl-activating mist?
Yes. The mist provides softness and slip; the brush helps distribute it and detangle section by section.
How does it fit into the Crystal Lumen ritual?
Use it during preparation: after washing and conditioning, detangle and create natural braids. Once the hair is completely dry, undo the braids and apply the gel in small sections.
Does the brush prevent all breakage?
Breakage depends on the hair’s condition and the technique used. The brush supports careful detangling: working in sections, using conditioning products and avoiding pulling are essential.
How do I clean it?
Remove accumulated hair after use. Clean with water and mild soap, rinse and allow it to dry completely in a ventilated area.
